Welcome to Milo (the “Service,” “we,” or “us”). The Service is operated by Z-Rex Network (contact: support@z-rex.net) through our mobile application and related servers. By registering, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Milo is a social app inspired by letter writing. You spend virtual stamps to send drifting letters; other users may receive and reply. With mutual consent, you may apply to become pen pals and choose to reveal more of your real profile. The Service simulates postal waiting and distance—some letters and replies may be delivered after a delay.
We may change features, interfaces, and rules (including how stamps are earned, delivery timing, and daily limits) as needed for operations. We will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means when appropriate.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to register and use the Service on your own. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy and supervise your use.
- You may sign in with an email verification code or a Google account. Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for unauthorized use caused by your failure to safeguard your account.
- One account per person. You may not sell, rent, transfer, or share accounts, or register accounts through automated means.
- On first use, you may need to complete basic profile setup (nickname, avatar, and related onboarding) before some features are available.
3. Virtual Identities and Pen Pals
- Before becoming pen pals, you typically interact using a virtual identity (nickname and avatar). Your registration email and similar account details are not automatically shown to others.
- A pen pal relationship requires one party to send a request and the other to accept. After acceptance, each party may view profile information the other has chosen to make visible (nickname, avatar, bio, etc.), per product rules.
- You may adjust visibility settings in the app (for example, whether your pen pal list is public). You cannot recall information the other party lawfully obtained or saved before a relationship change.
4. User Content and Conduct
You are solely responsible for letters, replies, and conversation content you post. You agree not to post or engage in:
- Content that violates applicable law or public order and good morals;
- Sexual, violent, terrorist, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory, fraudulent content, or content that infringes privacy or intellectual property;
- Malware, spam, or unauthorized commercial promotion;
- Soliciting or sharing others’ sensitive personal data (e.g., government IDs, payment card numbers, home addresses, passwords);
- Impersonation, fraud, or attempts to bypass anonymity and pen pal mechanics;
- Interfering with the Service, scraping data without permission, or other technical abuse.
4.1 Content Moderation
To keep the community safe, we review text you submit, including:
- On-device or server-side sensitive word filtering;
- Automated checks through third-party safety services (such as the OpenAI Moderation API).
If content is flagged or rejected, we may block sending, delay delivery, restrict features, or remove content without prior notice. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or permanent account termination.
5. Virtual Stamps and Rewarded Ads
- Stamps are virtual items used to send letters and for related features. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be traded between users unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing.
- You may earn stamps through daily check-in, watching rewarded video ads (Google AdMob), and other in-app mechanics shown in the app.
- We may change how stamps are earned or spent. Except where required by law, we are not liable for changes to virtual items due to maintenance, policy updates, or similar reasons.
6. Intellectual Property
Software, design, trademarks, logos, default avatars, stamp artwork, and similar materials (excluding user content) belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use them commercially without written permission.
You retain rights in your original content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, royalty-free license to store, display, distribute, moderate, and technically process it as needed to operate the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third parties, including Google sign-in and ads (Google LLC), email delivery, and content moderation APIs. Your use of those features is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or data practices.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation.
- Interactions with other users are at your own risk. We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of user content or for offline contact or disputes between users.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising from use or inability to use the Service. Our total liability is limited to fees you paid us directly in the past twelve months, if any; if you paid nothing, the cap is USD $15 (or equivalent in local currency).
9. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service for maintenance, upgrades, legal requirements, or business reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion (see our Privacy Policy).
If you breach these Terms, we may restrict, freeze, or delete your account and related data (except where retention is required by law), with or without notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms; if you disagree, stop using the Service and contact us to delete your account.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if that fails, either party may bring the dispute before a court of competent jurisdiction where the operator is located.
